Sibelius Pastry is finally here                        


World famous Finnish composer Jean Sibelius was born 150 years ago.

The anniversary is celebrated with new Sibelius Finland Experience pastry by the leading Chef Patissier Juha Rissanen.  


The rich flavour of Sibelius Finland Experience pastry is decorated with design created by the graphic designer, and icon,Professor Erik Bruun.  The visual element was originally created for daily concert series at Helsinki Music Centre.

 The pastry by Juha Rissasen and his team, focuses on ingredients including Finland’s national berry, wild blueberries and mild smoke flavour, honouring the Finnish nature and harvesting. It also reflects Jean Sibelius lifestyle and compositions.  The pastry is decorated with Sibelius image on Valrhona chocolate top. It is created and presented with kind support of Sibelius Family Collegium and respects the Sibelius life’s work.   The pastry is currently available at Music Centre Cafeteria and on order from 2nd of April 2015.

Chef Patissier Juha Rissanen is famous for handmade sweet delicacies. He has been working with Jan Hedh, the leading pastry chef and master of chocolate in Sweden.  Juha holds an education from Ecole du Grand Chocolat Valrhona Tain d´Hermitage in France. His career include the membership in Finnish Chefs National team 2003–2010. He is a member of Valrhona V-organization since 2007.

 Sibelius Finland Experience Concert details


Daily concert series 8.6.–9.8.2015, 12.00 at Helsinki Music Centre.  The event is designed for domestic and international visitors of all ages.  The performing artists are young international and Finnish talents, the repertoire includes Finlandia, Karelia Suite and Valse Triste by Jean Sibelius.

 The narrated live experience on two grand pianos, includes multimedia show including some of Professor Erik Bruun’s graphic works. The show presents  Finnish flora and fauna and selected  pictures about Finnish nature.  The audience will get background on sources of inspiration for Sibelius, international aspects and fame of his works.

 The ticket sales for individual guests are available through Helsinki Expert and Lippupalvelu/Ticketmaster for € 37 + service fee.
