National Hall Helsinki
The National Hall Helsinki, Kansallissali Aleksanterinkatu 44, is the city centre jewel. Sibelius and Tchaikovsky meet here in visual concerts every day from January 1st to 9th, 2015, at 12 hours. After you may want to enjoy the Kamp Sibelius Lunch.
Would you like to read my opinion of some of the concert halls in Helsinki?
Finlandia Hall - the classical orchestra players call it: "The most expensive mute in the World."
Helsinki Music Centre - well received by the Helsinki residents and visitors. Here we perform during summer Sibelius Finland Experience.
University main building hall - here nearly all of Jean Sibelius works had World Premiere. Nice venue, too much echo.
The Rock Church, Temppeliaukion kirkko - special feeling inside the solid rock. Good for strings and choirs, piano sounds easily like a drum.
The Finnish National Opera - looks from outside a bit like a swimming hall because of the tile decoration. Inside just great and fine performances.
